RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. Every one pupil must have a copy of the school handbook (Christ Almanac) with him and should bring it to the school every day.
  2. The School uniform is compulsory on all school days. The pupils must come to the school neat.
  3. Only English Should be spoken within the school campus premises.
  4. The warning bell before the class is the signal for all to go to the assembly or their respective classrooms. This should be done in silence. As soon as they are in class, pupils should get ready for each period.
  5. Strict discipline should be maintained on the school campus.
  6. While moving from class pupils shall march silently in line.
  7. Entering or leaving the class without the permission of the teacher is prohibited.
  8. Pupils who have been absent or who come late will be admitted to the class only with the permission of the principal. If a pupil is absent for more than five consecutive days without the permission of the principal, his name will be struck off from the rolls.
  9. No pupil should disturb other classes at work on the flimsy plea of talking a pen, pencil, or book on loan from his friend.
  10. Irregular attendance, frequent failures in submitting class exercises, habitual want of discipline or any sort of serious misbehaviours are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of the student.
  11. No pupil is allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without the principal’s permission.
  12. No books (other than the school books), newspapers or periodicals should be brought to school without the knowledge of the principal.
  13. Every pupil must behave respectfully toward the members of the teaching and non-teaching staff.
  14. Pupils must behave well at all times and in all places both inside and outside the school. No loud shouting or whistling is allowed on the school premises.
  15. Students should have respect for school property. They should not damage school furniture, write or draw on the walls, scratch or spoil desks or chairs. Any damage to school property will have to be compensated to keep the classroom neat.
  16. Playing in the classroom is prohibited.
  17. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuables (like expensive watches, fountain pens or gold ornaments) to school.
  18. Cycles must be kept locked and arranged in a row.
  19. Collecting donations or selling tickets for any purpose is strictly banned.
  20. Before the commencement of classes and during the intervals pupils are not allowed to play any indoor/outdoor games within the campus.
  21. Pupils should see that their hairs are properly trimmed and nails cut, at regular intervals.
  22. Pupils will be taught Computer Science from First Std onward. The school has a well-equipped Computer Lab with many Computers. Students have Computer practicals from standard First onwards.
  23. An air-conditioned Radio Station is open to students to improve public speaking skills.
  24. In the afternoon, students should be in their classrooms at the first bell and maintain silence. Classes will commence at the first bell.
  25. The school expects students to be polite, friendly and well-behaved in and outside the school. They should be respectful to their elders and teachers, and considerate to their juniors; honest and truthful at all times.
  26. Students shall keep silence and decorum in the classrooms and corridors. If they should go to another classroom they should move silently in a line and return after class within 5 min.
  27. Students shall not leave their classrooms or enter other classrooms without permission.
  28. Students are not allowed to enter the teacher’s staff room without permission or in the absence of any teacher. Only class leaders are allowed to enter with permission.
  29. Speaking in English is compulsory at school, on the bus and while waiting at the bus stop to board the bus.
  30. The school premises and classrooms must be kept neat.
  31. The school is a plastic-free zone and does not promote students bringing sweets on their birthdays. If they wish to do so, they may bring sweets without their plastic wrappers.
  32. Every student shall endeavour to keep up the high standard of the school by excelling in studies, good manners and deportment/personal conduct.
  33. Politeness and courtesy in speech and conduct, as well as cleanliness and grace of person, are to be cultivated and cherished.
  34. Students are expected to behave with dignity outside the school premises also. Any activities of the student outside the school premises or in public places, which may harm the name, reputation and discipline of the school will be addressed and disciplinary action will be initiated if found necessary.
  35. While wearing the school uniform, no student must engage in behaviour or associations detrimental to the moral tone, values and goodwill of the school. Strict disciplinary action will be initiated against the student found engaging in the same.
  36. Students are discouraged from carrying too much money or any expensive articles to school.
  37. Students are not permitted to bring iPods, cameras, laptops and other electronic equipment without the permission of the teacher concerned.
  38. Students are strictly prohibited from bringing or using mobile phones on the school campus. If found in possession the articles will be confiscated and will not be returned.
  39. No meetings, parties or organized school activities should be arranged without the approval of the Principal.
  40. No vehicle will be allowed to enter the school campus during school hours.
  41. All students are sincerely exhorted to cultivate the habit of morning and evening prayer. Catholic students are especially advised to assist regularly at the Holy Mass and frequent the sacraments and thus be witness to Christ in their daily lives. Catholic parents would do well to encourage their children in this matter.
  42. Money should not be lent or borrowed from among students. No articles may be exchanged with other students.
  43. Whenever students are permitted to wear casual clothes, they must be modestly and suitably attired for school.
